I’m not sure if it would work with the iPhone, but Sima’s Hitch device can do that with older iPods. Here’s the link:
If that doesn’t work, I don’t think you will be able to. Alex G

You can try this software to backup the stuffs in your iPod/iPhone/iTouch. Recover lost or missing music, backup and restore all of your iPod/iPhone/iTouch content, including your favorite songs, videos, photo files and Play Lists, and that’s not all. You can try this software to backup songs, videos, photos in iPod to PC, copy iPod songs, videos, photos to new ipod, computer or notebook.–itouch-iphone-transfer.html
Some useful information you can get on the official site: Grahtansedss G

I came across this problem before. My friend recommended Tansee iPhone Transfer to me. And it helped me transfer all songs and videos on my iPhone back to computer completely and safely. Then I was able to add those files back to iTunes library.
You can give it a try. Free download it at
