I want to show how RIM and Apple are oligopolists in the market for smart phones. All the other firms (Samsung, LG, Nokia) can be a fringe. How would I go about to create demand/supply schedules? Thanks in advance.
i want to be able to show quantities, prices, elasticities, et cetera. guidelines as to how to get there would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Lim says:

What you need is data eg the below (but for your defined smart phone sector rather than general cell phone industry).

The chart is simple enough to show that only 5 sellers dominate 81% of the market. This should make an argument for the industry to be oligopolistic. Lim
