How can I download the iphone backup software for Vista?

I reinstalled my operating system and need to download the software that backs up my iphone. I tried plugging the iphone into the computer and it asked if I wanted to backup my pictures, but it did not open the iphone program. (Is it iTunes?) Anyway, I googled it, but all I saw was an update for the phone itself.

Click on “Download iTunes Now” Hal 9000
Install iTunes.

STEP 1:go to apple.com and click on download which will get u to then you will find download itunes 9 in the middle of the screen click on it and you will get to now u have to click download Itunes on the Left side
