How do I remove contacts from iphone that have already been deleted?

Hello: I hope this makes sense. I deleted a lot of contacts from my iphone contact list but when I went to send an email, they were still there. Meaning, if I press the letter “A” all contacts come up that start with “A” even though they are no longer in my contact/address list. Hi , Your contacts have been deleted , Now just Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset keyboard Dictionary.
And if under App Store you see any ID , then Settings > General > Reset All Settings .
Make sure NOT to tap on Reset & Erase. ONLY RESET. B P
