How do you add songs onto Iphone using new computer?

I just bought an MacBook Pro and have a first generation Iphone that i currently use on a PC.
When i plug in my phone to the Macbook its contents just show up all gray and itunes doesnt let me add any new songs.
How can i fix this? I’d rather not replace the music on my phone!

I think there is no problem with your iphone i think it is the itunes try uninstalling the itunes and then install it agian hope that answers the questions Mike
