A lot of things can cause problems for cell phones trying to send text messages. It could be a temporary situation due to tower issues near you. It could be due to your phone settings not being right. It could be due to settings in your account at verizon that are causing the trouble- you’d have to call verizon to check that. You could have a bad sim card. Or the phone itself could be defective.
Do secondary and master resets on the phone. Try your sim card in another phone, or try another sim card in your phone. Check your phone data service settings. Have verizon check your account. Try texting in different areas, at different times.
Better yet, stop texting with a cell phone in the first place. What a useless activity. ioerr
