What kind of chance is their that if the iPhone does really well selling and stuff that Apple will release it to other cellphone companies cuz Cingular is ridiculous. I know they signed a deal till 2009 or something but is their any chance they can breakt hat agreement?

i read online that origional apple was going to release the iphone on verizon but verizon said no cause they didnt think it would sell too good. attackofthegirt

AT&T and Apple have many legal people involved in these negociations. As an employee of AT&T we wont even see the unit until the day it is released, only the manual so we can tell customers. The exclusive contract is for 5 years, until then we will not know if any other providers will offer the phone. Right now only AT&T corporate stores and Apple stores will be allowed to sell, not ever dealers and resellers of AT&T. paul c
