Is it a good idea or a good thing to have a Smart Phone while in College? Financial Aid?

Also can a phone plan count as a personal expense in regards to financial aid? Or is wrong to use the personal expenses portion for a phone plan? I get about 3grand in personal expenses
I don’t like bringing my computer to school. I go to a large public university and most of the time the computer labs are full. I would like the phone for a good calender, internet browser, email. I dont like using my phone in class i agree its a distraction, even when the person next to me is vibrating or typing durring the whole class i get distracted.
If you’re asking this, then I say a smart phone wouldn’t be a good option. They just distract you while in class.. and out of class, just use a computer. eet_spam
