I rarely talk on the phone but I use the internet a lot. I want an iphone for the convenience of the internet at my fingertips. How much would I be looking at per month for a basic calling plan and the internet? Also, can I use the internet anywhere or do I have to be in a hot spot?
If we are smart enough to get telephone service from all phone jacks, why not internet?

Also can a phone plan count as a personal expense in regards to financial aid? Or is wrong to use the personal expenses portion for a phone plan? I get about 3grand in personal expenses
I don’t like bringing my computer to school. I go to a large public university and most of the time the computer labs are full. I would like the phone for a good calender, internet browser, email. I dont like using my phone in class i agree its a distraction, even when the person next to me is vibrating or typing durring the whole class i get distracted.

What’s the point of having a ‘Smart Phone’ vs. a 3g Cell Phone if you only use it for talking?
Ok, I’m not all that hi-tech and I’m confused about the benefits of having a ‘Smart Phone’ vs. a regular Cell Phone with 3g Internet, Bluetooth, etc. if I’m only really using it for talking (some texting), and maybe random internet browsing here and there (not ‘work related’ browsing, just random ‘googling’ around).
The only other feature I use on my phone is the BlueTooth that hooks up to my car (my car is BlueTooth factory equipped, because talking while driving is illegal here in California).
If my cell phone has a Qwerty keyboard, 3g Internet, and hooks up to my car’s Blue Tooth, is there a point for someone like me to have a “Smart Phone”?

How to make an instinct or verizon smart phone work on alltel?
