My Smart-Phone SIM card won’t work in a Black Jack II, but will work in a LG Vu? Help?

I’ve been using this sim card in my LG VU, and its been perfectly fine.
My brother just recently gave me his BlackJack 2, and the sim wont work in it.
Every time i turn it on it says “The sim card is missing or not valid”
I really wanna use this phone!
