How do I connect my laptop with wifi enable phone ?
My smart phone (symbian) can connect to wifi ( I bought Boingo wifi phone plan) Now I want to use my laptop to connect to internet. Boingo requies seperate plan for laptop . Is there a way to connect laptop with my wifi enabled phone . I use T mobile basic plan no 3 G .
Does it cost more to maintain/have a smart phone (apart from the extra cost to purchase it)?
I am considering getting this phone. If I just use it for making calls and don’t activate the internet etc can I still have a pre-paid account and not pay any extra than I did with my old mobile phone which is just a simple one?

My contract is up in like december and i currently pay $50 for this crappy moto crazer from t mobile. Im looking to get a better phone. I was looking at iphones which if i had the money i wouldnt even hesitate to get one, but theyre too pricy for me. Im looking for a phone where i can go on the internet. I do lite texting and calls. I want something as close to an iphone or blackberry i can get without spending a fortune. $70 is like the most ill pay monthly. If you could list some of the phones you reccomend that would be great.
Well this really doesnt help me i already said an iphone is too expensive and i dont want to give up texting.

Right now I’m using T-Mobile and I’m not switching (my mom controls the plan), but I’m not adverse to looking at a not extravagantly priced unlocked phone(under $200 used).
I have a Xpress Music 5300 and a Palm z22 and I’d like a device that combines those features. I don’t need email or internet, but micro SD card compatibility will factor into my choice (Do smart phones have card slots?).
I’ve used the Palm OS with the z22 and it’s pretty limited, but I’ve heard that the Windows OS is pretty bad. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am in the market for a new cell phone, particularly one with great notepad and calendar functions (as I tend to use my phone primarily to organize my life). I find that the best places to look for these, however, is in the so called ’smart phones’ or whichever phones are the most advanced. But I tend to find that these phones come with a *required* $30/month charge for things like internet and such, which I don’t need.
Does anyone know which service provider (AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, or Verizon) could offer me such a phone without the incredible extra charge for things I don’t need?

T-mobile’s downloading website currently says that PDAs aren’t supported for their downloading center. Are there any websites that will allow for downloading using these devices?
