What browsers are available for the iPad that are similar to IE or Firefox?

There are several websites that won’t allow connection without either Internet Explorer or Firefox. I use my iPad for work and it is MUCH easier to handle than carrying a laptop or even tablet. The only draw back is the fact that I can’t access several websites I need on Safari. Anyone know of one that I can use to access websites available on IE or Firefox?

That is a draw back with the iPad. It is an apple issue that unfortunately can’t be remedied with a separate browser. Safari is the only browser currently able to run on the iPad. SmartOne

It’s only safari on the iPad because Apple disallows third party browsers (because they’re jerks). Daniel G

All the previous answers are right. Apple doesn’t allow third party browsers because they are jerks. And you are lucky that you can afford an iPad :P Mr. Answerer II

Apple have started to allow browser apps recently for bothe the iPhone and iPad.

For the iPad there is ‘Mercury Web Browser’, ‘FB Browser’ and ‘Atomic Web Browser’. Although Opera have a browser for the iPhone it is not available for the iPad. Neither Microsoft or Firefox have an iPad web browser.

You may well find that the web sites you are trying to browse have Flash content. Apple will not allow Flash to run on any idevice as they feel it could have possible security flaws. my-iGuru.com
