Questions i want answered please are….
1. What is the difference between iphone 3g and iphone 3gs
2. Does iphone 3gs hold more songs and apps?
3. How much does the better one cost?
Thanks for helping me
I just want a better phone
one that actually holds songs but i want it to hold ALOT of songs and apps!! thankyou

1) 3Gs is faster by about twice at running everything. It has a higher megapixel camera. It allows video. It has a compass. It supports HSPA plus which is a superfast form of internet which the 3G cannot.
2)The amount of storage space has nothing to do with the model and everything to do with how many gigs of space it has built in.
A 16 gig 2 G model would be either a 3G or 3Gs 8 gig model for storage capability for songs,etc.
3)The 3GS is $199 and the 3G is $99. Both require a two year contract to get those prices.
If you want one that will hold a lot of stuff, you might have to pay more then the prices listed because the bigger storage drives will cost you more money. Mobile Mike
1) 3GS is faster, has a digital compass inside and has a better compass and a video camera.
2)kinda, yes. the ammount of stuff you can put in your iphone is calculated by its capacity. 3G has a capacity 8GB while 3GS has 16GB and 32GB
3)iphone 3GS costs about $650 for the 16GB here in hong kong but given that it’s unlocked and our iphone plans are the cheapest in the world alot of hong kongers have iphones. sorry IDK bout US prices.
edit:
i think its 99 for 3G and 199 for 3GS Joel C

Everybody talks about the good things about the iPhone but forgets the problems. Once the iPhones got firmware 3.0 and higher a lot of problems began for many. Overheating, failure of different apps like email and the internet have appeared. Some have exploded. And the phone still doesn’t have FLASH to watch video. Oh, and you still can’t remove the battery unless you’re a surgeon. The best part is that after you spend $99 (3G) or $199 (3Gs) you still have to pay around $2400 over two years for the spotty service from AT&T.
Wait until next year, there are a lot of new smart phones coming out with all the carriers (Palm Pre, Pro 2, Cliq, etc.) John Cipolletti
1. The difference between an iPhone 3G and an iPhone 3G S:
The difference between the two is more focused on the speed. There is more memory on the iPhone 3G S. With the memory, you can run apps smoother. Not to mention, you can get more signal strength. For those who hike a lot, the Compass can be the biggest help on a mobile device like this one. One massively-anticipated feature is the Auto-Focus AND Video recording on the iPhone 3G S. Record videos in high quality, one you can’t find on almost any other phone. Send it as an MMS or upload it to YouTube. Auto-Focus lets you snap the moment just right. If you need accessibility settings, such as VoiceOver, Invert Colors, zoom-in screen, etc., the iPhone 3G S is for you too. One small feature is that there’s a battery percentage shown on the top-right of the screen, when turned on. Last, the GPS (for Maps) is improved by 2% (whoop-de-doo there, huh?)
2. iPhone 3G S Storage
Because Apple made it this way, the smallest storage size on an iPhone 3G S is 16GB, which, if you know, holds DOUBLE the amount of the smallest storage size of an iPhone 3G. (Being the least expensive of the choices.) Of course, there is the 32GB option, but that’s only if you’re going to store many movies, music, photos, apps, etc.
3. The iPhone 3G S of both sizes (16GB and 32GB) and all colors (Black or White back) have the same features. The 16GB model starts at a cost of $199 with a 2-year contract with AT&T (United States) and the 32GB for $299 with a 2-year contract with AT&T (United States.) For all other countries, check your local carrier. For a no-contract iPhone 3G S, it is $599USD for a 16GB and $699USD for a 32GB.
If you’re the average music-listener and movie-watcher, along with photo and video taker, you’ll want the 16GB iPhone 3G S. I hope the information above has helped you on your decisions you plan to make. Tsui
