An iPhone is a little thicker and heavier. It also has a speaker grid on the front and a built in microphone. It terms of features it has a camera and has the ability to call and text people.An iPod Touch is basically an iPhone without the phone, microphone, and camera. Theres nothing an iPod Touch can do that an iPhone can’t do.

Ipod touch is a music player. The iphone is a music player + phone . When you get an Iphone though you have to pay 30 dollars a month for the data plan. Just something to think about. Nick

Well the obvious is ones a phone and ones just a Music player. If i were you then i would go with the iphone because its a phone and a music player in one. Also there’s more app choices for the iphone and you can take pics and make videos with the iphone. You can do SO much more with the iphone. Emily

except with the ipod touch you are limited to a wifi network for internet,
with the iphone you can use a cellphone network. mmmmm

An Iphone is essentially all those things and a phone to call people with.

The iPhone has a camera, EDGE (mobile internet), a Microphone, external speakers, external volume adjustment, and phone service and apps. It also comes with a dock and a wall charger built in, but you can buy those separately for the touch.

The iPod touch now has all the applications the iphone has, plus they have a bigger 16gb storage version. Also, it does not require a 2 year contract with AT&T, you can use it anywhere in the world, is thinner and lighter.
The SDK (application development kit for developers) that will come in February will support both devices.
The chrome metal back of the Touch scratches more easily, so that is a downside compared to the iPhone’s brushed metal.
The iPod touch is the best PDA in the world (when they release third-party apps) if you do not need a Phone or camera.

In a word,Iphone can do what ipod touch do,but ipod touch can’t.There are some apps that need wifi but most of them don’t need it. oh and actually you can text and call. but you need wifi to do it.
Iphone is more practical in some other aspects all the while,such as lots of apps.In my experience,many of my friends felt a little regretted after they buy touch instead of iphone
