What practical use does the Ipad have that can’t be found on other Apple devices?

Absolutely nothing, it’s just bigger. It makes everything easier though because of the size.
IMO, the operation is a lot smoother than that of an iPod as well! Lisaaaargh
On iPad you watch Netflix movies
On iPad , you watch TV shows legally for free
You can download video from any website
One app on iPad can access the content from other apps.
You can save eMail attachment to multiple apps on iPad.
USB based and Blutooth enabled both keyboards can be connected to iPad.
Camera can be connected directly to iPad
Camera connection kit also has a dongle that reads SD memory card that’s means you can import photos and videos from a memory card directly to iPad.
Professional grade word document,spreadsheet and presentation can be created on iPad. And to show the presentation, you can directly connect it to projector.

If somebody is ignorant that doesn’t mean iPad is same as iPod Touch. All the features that I listed above are personally tested by me.

If these differences don’t make much difference in some people’s way of thinking then they are those who can’t see any reason to pay such a hefty price for Audi when they can commute even on Hyundai.
