All phones that are wifi enabled require a data plan. Don't expect that to change. evilattorney

Well, firstly, Verizon Wireless requires that phones for use with their service be purchased through them. So, you would have to purchase a phone through Verizon Wireless. You may want to visit their website for a list of upcoming phones. If the release dates are not listed, you would want to contact them on their toll-free number (should be on their website) to see if they have more specific details about the phones that you are interested in.

I recommend a data plan though. Once you start using the internet with your phone, it becomes addictive…..at least for me it did. geminitwin81

May want to look elsewhere for Wi-Fi enabled handsets. Mobile phone providers promote the use of their data plans extending all over the globe giving the best possible coverage. Not that many phones have Wi-Fi due to the reason of marketing.

Data plans start at 14.99-29.99 for unlimited use. It will give you peace of mind that there will be no over use charges and you will get internet where ever you may be.

Its a minor charge but its very convenient. bam4003
