The ipad screen is fingerprint resistant and scratch-resistant glass. I seen screen test where the screen is very resistant, but I would put a screen protector myself. However, the back of the ipad can get scratch very easy. Make sure you protect the back too!

I like zagg invisibleSHIELD because of their lifetime warranty, if you want a new shield in like a few months you can for free.

Have fun with your ipad. Nam N

I currently using a BoxWave Crystal ClearTouch on my iPad. By far the best screen protector I’ve used. With any screen protector, over time lint and dust can accumulate on the edges. BoxWave’s screen protectors are washable and reusable! So while you might end up throwing away some other screen protector brand, with BoxWave’s I just remove it, rinse it off, and re-apply it. Also it’s pretty easy to put on and you can’t even tell it’s on. Prior to using BoxWave, I had an Invisible Shield on but I found that one to have an orange skin like texture that was somewhat bumpy. It was also rubbery which made swiping on the screen sort of hard. Installation was also difficult because it required some sort of liquid to apply the protector unlike BoxWave’s.

Here’s a tip: If you get any lint or dust stuck on the side that adheres to your screen, USE THE STICKY SIDE OF THE SCOTCH TAPE TO REMOVE IT!

    Good luck- Mark

Wow, that is a great question ! I would either call Apple or go to a Apple store. You may want to try best buy or also there is a good resource that may have the answer i think they list some suppliers and reviews, etc about the ipad and screen protectors, etc. Good Luck! Ted

or. They will make your iPad stand up to anything that could scratch it. Go to those websites and watch the videos. Best Screens is less expensive than Zagg, but it’s probably just as good. I’ve used both companies. whoduhman
